We’ve been going on holiday to the same old place now for over twenty years.  My husband really enjoys it there, and I do as well, but this year I want to try something different.  We normally go to an inland resort that’s situated in a gorgeous mountain setting, and while mountains and forests are beautiful, I want to go to a place that I have never been before.  It’s always been a dream of mine to visit an area with a warm coastline where I might have an opportunity to get out on to the ocean in a boat.   Living in Manchester, we don’t often get to enjoy fresh seafood, which is another thing I am anxious to experience.

I’m having trouble deciding exactly where to go, though.  Money is tight these days, so lately I’ve been spending a lot of time on the internet searching for cheap holidays to Goa.  There seem to be so many different options that have a pleasant climate, access to the ocean and delicious regional cuisine that I’d like to visit them all on my next holiday.  I’m just glad that I’ve got plenty of time to make a solid decision.

I’ve almost decided that we will go to south-western Turkey next year.  The more I read about it, the more intriguing and exciting it sounds.  I’d love to see the old, historic ruins and perhaps even stay in one of the tree house-style resorts that I’ve read about.  However, parts of Greece look inviting as well, and the Canary Islands are definitely a must-see at some point in the future.  Planning our next holiday has become an adventure in its own right–I just hope that it will be as pleasurable as the planning of it has been so far.
